Have you ever felt swallowed up by life? Maybe you were surrounded by depression, conflict, worry, or guilt—and you felt hopeless.

PRAYER: Lord, I pray that You will come and strengthen me so that I can stand firm and secure in the knowledge that You are with me and that I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me. Amen.

David had many life-threatening experiences. He had enemies within his court who were intent on destroying him. On the battlefield, he had adversaries who had trained to kill him. On many occasions David felt surrounded by ‘sorrows of sheol’ and the ‘snares of death’. He recounted his near-death experiences as a way of testifying about God’s deliverance. In the face of his frightful experiences, David had two responses.
There is no condition or situation that God cannot restore.
It may seem dark and impossible to us, but God is far greater.
Healing broken hearts and binding up wounds, is His speciality.
Give Him all those areas of your life and ask Him to heal and restore you.
But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
